David Kraus and the Gipsy brothers will provide support for Gregory Porter’s Prague concert at the O2 universum
For the November concert in Prague, which will be held on Gregory Porter’s 53rd birthday (November 4, 2024) at the O2 universum, we have prepared a surprise and a bonus for you at the same time.
Based on Gregory Porter’s choice, the evening will begin with a thirty-minute performance by Czech singer, actor, lyricist and composer David Kraus with the band Gipsy brothers.
The band Gipsy brothers was founded by respected and recognized figures of the Roma audience – David Kraus and Milan Šenki. The main reason for founding the band was bringing Roma music and culture closer to the general public, and at the same time the fact that David Kraus musically collaborates not only with Roma musicians, but also loves Roma music and their temperament. You can look forward to Roma songs full of energy, either folk songs or Balkan brass bands.
The band is made up of legends of the Czech Roma music scene. It features, for example, members of the famous Romani band Bengas, which celebrated significant success abroad as well.
