Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague will present the best of rock music at the O2 universe on 6/24/2024 at 8:00 p.m.
With its Rock in Symphony program, the unique Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague is heading to the O2 universum stage together with the Soundtopia Band, who invite their audience to a unique show. The concert will be dominated by the melodies of the biggest rock legends. Plus, you’ll soon find out which special guest will be performing on the show.
Metallica, Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin or Scorpions are bands that shined on concert stages all over the world and engraved themselves in the hearts and memories of listeners of almost all age groups. An evening with the famous Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague (BSOP) in conjunction with a rock band will commemorate these rock legends and many more.
During the concert, the songs of stars such as Avril Lavigne and Bon Jovi will also be heard, as well as the melodies of the greatest legends of all time. These include, for example, Deep Purple, Europe or AC/DC.
The audience will be able to enjoy the concert show performed by a symphony orchestra. “The combination of rock and symphonic music brings listeners a completely different dimension to these compositions,” says the chief conductor and director of the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague, Martin Šanda, who founded this musical ensemble in 2002.
Since then, the orchestra has achieved countless successes, including several European tours with rock legends Deep Purple, Nazareth, Europe, Alice Cooper, Toto, Survivor, Foreigner, Journey, Bonnie Tyler, Uriah Heep and others. He can also boast of collaborating on projects with the Swedish band Sabaton, the British band Kosheen, 2Cellos, the famous Spanish opera singer José Carreras or the vocal group The Tenors and Il Volo. The list of star names that had anything to do with the Prague orchestra is really extensive. Violinist Vanessa Mae, singer Sarah Brightman and three-time Grammy winner Michael Bublé are also worth mentioning.
The orchestra has also performed a number of classical concerts throughout Europe, but also toured Japan and China. On the Czech stage, the BSOP presents, among other things, a number of concerts in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague and the Rudolfinum.
